This is the second of three articles that I’m writing about Paris when I was there at the end of June. This post is about Musee D’Orsay, which I think is one of the most beautiful museums I’ve ever been in. It used to be a train station. I love how spacious and airy it is.

What Works Did I Love?

I loved Van Gogh’s work. I loved his brushwork and the kinetic energy in his work. I especially loved this piece.

Of course, there are stars in them.

And this one has stars too:

Does It Look Like Cyanotype?

I’m always on a lookout for images that remind me of cyanotype. I always ask myself, äóìcould this be printed as a cyanotype? What would that look like?äóù I’m always looking for inspiration.

These images remind me of cyanotype.

View from Outside

One great thing about Musee D’Orsay is a cafe on the top floor where you could go outside and just sit. The museum overlooks the Seine. That’s the Louvre in the distance.

After grabbing lunch at this cafe, I went back and explored the art some more.

Overall, I spent about 5 hours there before jet lag claimed me (it was my first day from the US). I really really had to sleep.

I see a recurring theme in images I like: sleeping, dreams, angels. If you saw my video post on the Louvre, the last image was of angels.

I loved my visit at the Musee D’Orsay. I filed away ideas that I may be able to use in the future.
